[Suggestion] - Oak's Last Stand

The "Last Stand" ability for use with Oak is very powerful, I think maybe too powerful infact because he has a good bit of time after being killed to ghost and destroy stuff without taking any damage.  I used this last night several times to destroy the opponents light towers and other structures and it seems that people may become frustrated with their opponent being able to continue destruction for a bit without taking any damage.  Maybe this ability could be modified so you get the last chance to do some damage before you officially die but you still take some damage from attackers while in that state.  Just a thought.

Not a bad idea.  There is a lot of posts already on the forums about his last stand being broken.  What do you think about giving him increased attack speed and move speed + damage reduction at low life but he can be killed.  I mean you wouldn't even have to change the name of the spell just he gets really buff at low life but only for a set time period so you can't just stay at low life forever.

That is a very good idea, when he reaches a certain percentage in health he can initiate the "Last Stand" which is more like a buff fit of rage to increase damage for a small period of time.  Me likey!  Of course he is a general after all and if they are going to change the generals setup as is being discussed in other forums, it might be a moot point.

Perhaps it could be changed into a weaker version of himself primarily for the purpose of commanding his minions.  His ability to deal damage would be minimal, possibly nonexistant, and he would be unable to cast spells.  He could (maybe) give a slight area buff to any nearby units and he would be basically able to control his minions from the grave.

If minions were balanced to be a threat and the primary weapon of Generals, then it wouldn't be broken.  You could still aid your team from death, but you wouldn't be invincible and you would rely on your minions instead of your Assassin abilities.

It would also help to set him apart from all the other Generals.  I mean, he would be the only one able to do damage while dead.  With other Generals, you could charge through and focus on the General to eliminate the whole threat, but with the Oak, that strategy would still leave you with a fully functional army to deal with.

Just throwing ideas out there.  I'm trying to make Generals focus more on actually being Generals than Assassins.  Thoughts?

I dont think allowing him to take damage is a fix, unless you can kill a high level DG in 10 seconds after just being in a battle with him.

i think it should have a cooldown maybe 1-3 min. that way he can't constantly suicide. The only thing i actually dodnt about last stand besides the fact that its not "general like" is the fact people use it to kill towers. I mean I can easily run away from an Oak with last stand but towers cant

Simple fix to this without makeing it useless, Make the only thing he can attack is enemy demi gods everything else he hits for 0 or cant hit at all It is suppose to be an "Avenge" type of thing besides that its easy to get away from theres a good 3 seconds between him dieing and being able to actively attack.

 

*Edit* Also by only changeing it in that way it can still be a good counter push ability where he can fight to his last and still run off the enemy at least for a moment or they will risk getting killed. A much bigger issue than this ability tho is his spirits buffing his damage, you can get 8 up move them to the back of the map and keep your damage bonus this should'nt be.

the spirits should stick to him and attack what he attacks.
