[Ability Tweak] Snipe

It's not in my interest to bring this up, but as a thought:

Snipe is the only ability I can think of that can kill from across a map without warning.  Maybe the target DG should see a bullseye icon in his UI or there should be a visible bullseye over his DG for the time it takes for Snipe to channel.  It's not much, but it might be enough for a good player to pop health or for an allied Oak to hit him with shield. 

Thoughts?  Anything else this should apply to?

Not a bad idea but I think maybe this icon should only be there if the sniper isn't in fog.  There could be many other stipulations to when it shows you or when it doesn't.  Lets get some other thoughts on this, I think it is at least worth a try.

I also think the only time their should be a sign is when the regulus is aiming at a guy that when into the fog and then the player being sniped should see a red dot or light on them.

Another solution for this ability would be to have a set maximum effective distance for the snipe ability (not sure of the units of measurement) and if the distance exceeds the maximum effective range one of more of these effects can be considered to occur:

  • The damage of snipe is halved
  • The Channelling takes twice as long
  • The mana cost for snipe is double the amount
  • The Snipe ability gets put on grealtly increased cooldown for that instance

The actual in game range of this can be displayed with a floating tooltip when you target a Demigod with the snipe ability.

It has a range? from what i saw snipe works from one base to another.

You can see the range if you mouse over it and zoom out real far!

Its range is very long but yes it has a range.
