Demigod and even demi and deegie are too long for me.  How do you say "DG" in one syllable?

Dog?

Dig?

Dag? ("Ye like dags?")

What other words in this game need to be stripped down and butchered?

What do we call Erebus?  Vamp?

Unclean Beast = Uncle :D   (there is/was a GPG dev named Unclean_Beast who was nicknamed Uncle).

Cats doesn't sound right; maybe just catapults, or whatever you feel like saying.  Erebus is VL I think.  Most things seem to just be abbreviations.
