[Gameplay] Momentum - The Tipping Point

I was curious to know what other players considered the point at which momentum in Demigod Beta 2 becomes inevitability.

As in, when is it clear that one team will never win?

What is the tipping point beyond which victory is certain?

I'm still trying to figure it out, because I wanted to say it was capping the enemy's valor flag, but I've seen that go back and forth.  I would say capping both of the enemy's portals, but I've not seen that happen before the citadel came down except in total steamrolls.  Upgrading your grunts a bunch before your enemy does, maybe, but everyone does that ASAP in skilled games.

Maybe it's as simple as saying that loss is inevitable if your DGs are being killed while at your life crystal?  (If so then kudos to the devs for keeping momentum weak)

Keep in mind that I'm talking about a game between two skilled opponents or teams, not a noobstomp where the outcome is determined before the game begins.

What do you think?

their is no defininte turning point it revolves around multiple things like whose getting more kills.

In smaller games (2v2) if your towers are down along the creep path and their towers are still up, I think you are all but done for.

When you realize that the enemy is working togheter, and you aren't.

When catapultsaurs come up and you cannot capture the side portals on bigger maps.

Anyway I am sure this "time of judgement" will change a lot with the next beta, as flags will affect war score and thus also what power your units have. My guess is that if you can't take any flags in the new beta, you will lose.

If I were being trite, I'd say it was as soon as you see the enemy with catapultasauri when you have none.

If I were being serious, there isn't a set time or particular event in each game, unless you've lost defences and the enemy creep is on your citadel. At that point you're not realistically going to get out of it.

That said, the extra gamemodes promised will change things completely, so that's good.
