why twilight of arnor is slow on intel x3100 or intel 965

FIst ttwo games everything is set on high and they run perfectly smooth.

On the other hand twilight of arnor is just plain incredibly slow, even after i set everything on lowest setting and change textures to 16 bit the performance of the game only slightly changes. On the big map game runs normal only if zoom really in on max.

Do owners of X3100 notebooks eperience the same programs, or is it just computer. I am having core 2 dup 1.8Ghz and 1Gb ram?

Disable the enhanced rendering option if you haven't.

Some Intel chipsets don't have dedicated memory, but shares/uses the PC's memory. could be not enough 'ummffp' to display well.

Even then, my Intel 965 uses a mere 64 MB shared memory (laptop player) and seems to work fine for Gal Civ II. So fiddling around with the settings - with or without Stardock staff help ;) - should to the trick.

Don't update the drivers though, I did and all of a sudden I was facing garbled screens in more than 1 game, blue screens of death, task manager and antivirus software that freeze. So nothing Gal Civ II specific, just a general warning for Intel 965 users reading this thread.
