cheers.
E-mail [email protected] and ask about what options are available
Sorry you`d want to do that. In any event, I would hope one hasn`t plundered the beta builds leading up to cancellation - I think it would be reasonable for GPG and Stardock to say that having indulged in such, a refund is not an option. Personally I would feel not right (awkward) having partaken of such and then asking for a refund: I can`t after all give back to Stardock/GPG my beta experience.
But thats not mine to say.
If you've played the game at all, you don't get a refund. When the very first beta came out, I and some other people were trying to get refunds, but we weren't allowed. Worst of all, they never stated that policy anywhere on the pre-order page until AFTER we had made a big fuss about it.
I can't think of any retailer that will refund (and take back) a game that was played. It would be very bad for business. Like renting for free.
If you never downloaded the game you have a better chance of a refund. Sales can check that.
That being said, this can hardly be called a "Game" in the traditional completed sense. Its more like trying to sell someone a half-baked piece of dough and calling it a loaf of bread.
...except you get another full loaf in a few months for no extra charge.
.. And except you still affirmatively paid for it. The 'sell' was hardly a hard sell at all. I disbelieve many who claim ignorance of the terms of this pre-order beta and other pre-order betas: its in the very term "pre-order beta"... you pre-ordered the game, you get access to the beta. They did not say, "Come rent the beta demo... ."
with one map.
it is Age of Conan all over again
, everyone should hope not.
Current beta only has one map. Previous phases have had more and other maps. And other demigods. ![]()
May want to bear in mind that it's still in beta, things are still changing. If you're looking to cancel just because you don't like it...

Says it quite clearly. Like Zubaz says, if you haven't actually downloaded any of the betas, you should be able to get it back, but if you have, then you're not going to.
I think the game is ok-ish. But I maybe did a mistake buing it, becusse exploration and stuff is more my thing. This game seems (as been described) some sort of RTS Counter-Strike... that could be a cool and interesting thing, but not for me.
I guest is normal to not have a refund option, but having one could have be a very good thing. Now.. I will wait till release. Maybe singleplayer is more my thing.
