[Beta 2 Bug] Auto-minesweeping not working

The auto-minesweep AI tries to use reveal mines, but the scouts always stop just a bit out of range of the mine and get stuck. They think they're in range so they don't move on to the next mine, but their target mine is just outside their detection range so they just sit there.

Attaching a screenshot to illustrate - they basically stay in this state indefinitely.

Hmm... Haven't seen that behaviour. However, one of my seekers presented some annoying behaviour in my last game.

It warps into the system, activates the detect mines things. Gets the nearest mine in range, and then procedes into a wide turn, brushing up against the mine it just detected! I had to start microing it. There should really be some checking to make sure the scouts, at least, do not set off the mines they are trying to detect. To say nothing of the ships that come to destroy the detected mines. -_-

i can confirm this.  i noticed the same thing.  the scouts stay just out of range of the mines and don't do anything.

Save game sent. Sorry it's early and it's 2 emails, I forgot to attach it to the first :( Haha.

That is kind of odd!  This didn't happen when I put scouts on clean up duty.

That is odd, because for me it just doesn't work. If you have enough scouts it looks like some try to go to other mines and end up passing by the original so it gets un-phased and that's how it "fixes". But until then, whenever I try the first scouts always get stuck.

I have also encountered this bug.  As I have only just bought the pre-order, I thought at first that it was working as intended and that there was something I was missing.  Micro-managing the scouts became a hassle so I came here to see if there was some other method that I was missing.  Are more save games of the bug needed?  Also, is it intended for the mines to be fully visible and just invulnerable until a scout is brought forward to reveal it?

Yes, this part is intended.

Bumping with an update:

I got a note back from support that they managed to re-create the issue and fix it, it should be included in a hotfix coming up sometime soon.
