Empire tree not working (beta2)

I've noticed an odd behavior from the empire tree that I can't seem to solve. I always run with "show fleets" with no other auto pinned items. I don't like alot of empire tree clutter. In 3 different games as TEC, i've noticed that when my scouts die, the system that they are in become pinned and I cannot unpin them to clean up the screen. Over a small 20 planet game I will have all 20 planets on the empire tree and i cannot remove any of them.

Do they have starbases there?

I have noticed that once you see an enemy starbase it gets pinned to your empire tree until you unpin the starbase itself.
