Demigod Ventrilo Server?

I would like to see that as well. I have a server at the moment, but it's not mine. I may ask if it's possible for some of us to use it in the future.

Yea. I would use it. Demigod team games do also help if there is VoiP.

There was a community TS server for Supreme Commander, it wasn't GPG funded though.

It was fairly active for a while.

We really do need Voice built into the game.

I don't know how many times I haver said this.  However it doesn't look like stardock and gpg agree with us on that point, so this may have to be on a wish list to be included in the first micro-expansion.

In game voice chats always seem to fail immeasurably... also you can't create a room for your group of friends or clan and just stay in it usually, it just gets frustrating.

even though vent might be good for games, i sure hope this game DOESN'T become so reliant on it.

However the following might not be applicable to this game (coz i dont know how this game plays out).

From my past RPG gaming experience (in particular one game) in certain areas of competitive play, vent was a MUST HAVE. if you didnt have it, parties wouldnt want you at all in their teams.
Even if you like that aspect of that game but u just wanted to play casually, the competitiveness was just too high meaning ... "Bad luck you noob". Ultimately resulting in ur loss of a certain aspect of the game.

so i just dont want a game where vent dominates over the casual play of the game.

I could set one up on my dedicated box; a few friends have asked for something similar for our Dawn of War 2 games.

Actually, keep telling people you think a game that isnt even completed yet will suck, that's kinda the definition of wasting time.

Try playing with some people which you have good ping to instead, or are you the only one from Australia that pre ordered?

So I'm assuming what you mean to say is we should all take a fifth of a second more lag time on all abilities in all matches at all times because you are too lazy to convince the people you are playing with to enter the console command:

net_lag 350

Would that be an accurate assumption?

im in australia and i pretty much always get 250 - 300ms, but it goes over that often enough to get annoying. but oh well, i just have to get over it...nothing i can do...
