Major problem with latest version

I just installed the latest version of IP4 and now, I can't actually change any icons. The buttons all have mesed up tags and when I try to browse, I can't see any .ico files. I am using XP Pro and IP 4.10.177(x86).

Anyone know how to revert back to a previous version?

Before you roll back, try setting the icons to Windows Default > uninstall Iconpackager > reboot > reinstall IP > reboot

then see if you're still having problems.........

You can if you archived the previous version before updating.

I used Impulse to update and have no problems with the lastest version of Icon Packager.  I'm run XP Home 32 bit SP3.

What methold did you use to update?  Are you running any other package that deals with or changes the Icons?

I would suggest that you uninstall IP4, (set icons to default first) run a clean up program like CCleaner, and a registry cleal up then reboot.  Use Impulse to reinstall.  I don't believe IP4 requires a reboot again but do it anyways.

Hopefully that clears up the problem.  Post back and let us know.  If it doesn't then I would recommend an email to [email protected].

Didn't work. UNinstall required a reboot. I think it's the version. I have TuneUp Utilities 2008 with TuneUp Styler 2. The previous version of IP4 worked fine. I am NOT going to uninstall TU2008.

found a temporary solution

uninstall ip

install Stardock Central

install ip/older version ;)

PS: you can archive downloads in impulse too

Same problem here, and restoring the archive wouldn't work (any archive). Impulse just says it can't do it.
