[Idea] Change citadel gold upgrades to multipliers

In DG irc I brought up the fact that locking gold flags for 45 seconds wasn't very useful and didn't have any strategical impact and there was an idea to change the citadel gold upgrades to multipliers instead of +2, +4 and +6 gold per second upgrades.


Not sure what is fair but just to give a better idea; gold upgrade 1 = x1.5 extra gold income from each gold mine.

So capturing a 3rd or 4th gold mine would be more rewarding.

I would like gold to be more of an intrigal part of Demigod. I would love to see a way to make it possible to have a much larger income than your opponents. This would be a way that it could work.

Is already going to happen:

MY  personal opinions:

  • Currencies should increase gold income by a % not a raw amount.
    • Currency I: Increases gold income by 20%
      • Cost increased to $2000
    • Currency II: Increases gold income by 40%
      • Cost increases to $4000
    • Currency III: Increases gold income by 60%
      • Cost increased to $6000

This would be better as it'd be dependant on how many gold mines you control.

But +20% isn't enough I don't think.   How much gold income is each mine?  Is each mine just +1?  If it is then 4 mines that's not even +1 income.  Otherwise it might be okay.

 

Might want to just +1 income per mine, +2 each mine for lvl2, +3 for lvl3..  But lvl1 cost would need to cost about 50% more then for balance.
