[Suggestion] Minion Choice ?

Hi all,

 

First, excuse me for my English, am French ;) It's my first report on the forums but i want to bring some ideas/comments

 

I've played assassins and generals and i found both great with many strategic options but i think the possibility to have minion isn't a real choice.

Your demigod can have minion but :

-you have only 1 slot for cac, 1 for range and 1 for priests

-you have only 1 type of cac/range/priest

-the 4 items wich bring you minion are useless because you can have the necessary gold for rank 4 very quickly !

 

So i suggest to :

-give Demigod 3 slot for items but with no limit of cac/range/priest

-reduce the rank of items to 2 but implant a other choice of minion for each type : choice between rapid units with high burst and no armor (cac) or heavy armored slow whith area attack (cac)

 

With this we can change our strategie and have a real choice for our demigod

 

What do you think ? is existing but not implemented ?

I agree with you about the burst damage.  I also think they should have more dynamic options, such as slow, or DoT, or AoE.  Right now they are sort of a let down.

The slot mitigation is one of my idea to add variety to the generals mechanics.

The 2 others are :

 - reduce the capture speed of the generals to 70% of the Assassins's speed.

- Add the capture ability to the minotaurs (a full squadron of minotaurs have 30% of the capture speed of an Assassin).

The strategies for generals would be very clear and numerous :

~ A conqueror decide to spend his money in 3 slots of minotaurs knowing that he can spread his army and capture 2 flags or stay with all his minions to get flags faster but one by one.

~ A destructor choose to buy 3 siege archer in order to destoy buildings or troops at long range. The general and his personnal guard protect them.

~ A tank : 3 slots of priest to heal the general and his specific minions while he is in the melee.

~ Every combination of the mino/siege/priest including the polyvalence of the actual beta stage.

idols need love indeed; in addition to what you suggest, sthose would probably also be fun:

-snipers with very low hp but reasonable attack and high range (and normal/low speed)

-sneaky units good at surprise attack

-invisible units for scouting
