Gameplay example, new features and unit basics and tips are all linked.
End of Blair's quote

There isn't enough info, maybe something like the training manual, well, that too could use some more detail.

what like 2 paragraphs on the mines, i m sure people want to know more, what are their hitpoints, trainable levels, abilities, and the different new research avaiable, in the age of empires 2 manual, each unit, research and building have their histories explained, and thier attributes shown, perhaps something like that would be nice

any update on this?

I dont understand why they couldn't make a few tutorials for Entrechment, many newcomers want to know how to deploy starbases & mines. What are the new ships and how to use them.

The tutorial for Vanilla Sins was very poor, this is something the Devs should have thought about before releasing the game. Many people playing Sins are not regulars, they just enjoy a game here and there.

I have no need for a tutorial right now, but I remember my first few games, I was pulling my hair trying to understand why I was loosing, only to realise that it was Culture killing me. Or why I was constantly under attack by Pirates.

Sins is a complex RTS, and a good tutorial should be part of the game, this would greatly help most people trying to play the game for the first few times, creating less frustration can only bring more players to the game.

I agree.  Since they have more add-ons planned they really need to have updated docs asap.  Unless their stance is review the forum for the updates.  But I'd much rather have an update to the official .pdf manual.  But yes a turtorial would help for the new items.

Ping.  Any word on the updated manual?  Or will the bottom line just surf the web.

Looks like base on the update the manual will be a readme.txt.  I guess that works for me.

I havent actually played entrenchment yet...been waiting for the manual to be released.  I didnt think it would take this long (been playing Grid Defense: The Awakening while I wait)....any idea if it's even close to release?

The readme is the same as the online information in the developer blogs that lists all the new features and provides unit basics and tips.

There will be no tutorial.

The developer blogs information was great. Thanks Blair!

Alright, I have to say it....the read me for entrenchment sucks.  I was kind of hoping for more detail like what was in the .pdf.  This was not what I was expecting.

Have you viewed the blogs?

yeah I've seen the blogs.  I just would have liked a guide with every thing in it so I can print it out and easily refence to it.  Why even waste time with a half baked readme.  Maybe I'll just make my own based on all current posts.  The thing is I should have to do this.  Well, I'm over it.
