i've spent some time creating some ships,their my first attemps so i sure there will be some errors within them.if you'd like to give them a try you can download them from http://www.geocities.com/guildshand/. there you will find one dreadnought and a set of star trek heavy cruisers.

can you make it so that if makes a certain color transparent automatically? such as a blotch of really hot pink that colors everything that is NOT the image of the ship and this part is converted to a transparency?

for those of us who use ms paint as our primary paint program, stuff like alpha blending transparent layers are a big obstacle to making even a simple ship set.

Yeah sure, I had thought of it but I decided it was pretty useless considering PSP or photoshop could do it easily. Paint Shop Pro has a 60 days free trial, if you have broadband it's nice to have.

Anyway, I hadn't thought of MS-Paint users so yes I'll add it.

cool! thank you dark rain, much appreciated.

i haven't had time to learn any advanced paint programs, plus it is a bit hard to practice on galciv given how much you need to do to test one ship model. not to mention i hate re-downloading stuff to use even if it is free.

Well it's done, you can download the version 1.0.1. The option for enabling the alpha mask generation is in Settings->Save Settings.
