[Bug] Loading Savegame and Colored Skyboxes

I've noticed that whenever I load a savegame, the "red" skybox is always active. If the game was saved with any other skybox, it always changes to the "red" skybox on load. I've tried checking/unchecking the "Use Colored Skyboxes" and "Use Deep Space Skyboxes" options to switch back, but it stays as red constantly. This is undone if I start a new game, but saving and loading will have the same effect again.

Has this happened to anyone else?

The only time I've noticed this is with random maps, all the other pre-set scenarios don't do it.

Bumping this. Two years and no fix. Game uninstalled. Sucks, good game, but playing in orange/puke colored space isn't my thing, and judging from the post date on the original post it doesn't look like it's getting fixed.

Maybe because no one else has this problem? To be honest I sometimes just shut down the colored skyboxes. They really dont add anything.

Well, there are the three in this thread, as well as in a few other threads I've found scattered on the web. But no, doesn't seem to be widely spread. Still sucks though, especially since this seems to be the only good 4X space RTS that isn't ancient history.

Never heard of anyone having this problem before. Maybe reinstalling the game fixes it?

So like the OP this problem is only on a saved game? Could you upload the save? It will help the Devs if there is a problem and I'm betting it can be manually changed with the Dev.exe tool.

Fixed =) Feeling kinda sheepish now, all I had to do was install Diplomacy, and now for some reason it works just fine. Silly me for getting irritated over simple problems. Though, now I have to figure out how that expansion works as well p)
