I just reformatted my comp recently but before that I wasn't having this problem.

Any ideas?

.......it could be just a glitch in the system, sometimes changing skins and changing back and or rebooting can help

Yeah, re-apply/reboot it as Vampo sez ;)

Then again it can always be corrupt files... a reinstall will solve that.

I've rebooted and reinstalled and came up with the same problem.

I've redownloaded the Alienguise vista installer and the same thing.

Now after installing a free theme the Invader theme vanished, is there anyway to keep it? Assuming I can get this problem fixed I'd still like to use it.

If there is a way in mycolors to turn blurring on and off.. try turn it off.

Other than that... odd.

From the way it looks in the screenshot I would guess the image assets for that part of the skin are missing/corrupted somehow.  I don't recall off the top of my head if the AlienGUIse theme can be downloaded as a standalone, but I would suggest trying removing the theme completely and reinstalling.

I've done that a few times already, and it comes up with the same problem.

I downloaded it from the alienware site, so I'm assuming it is standalone...

What I've been seeing is when you delete the themes through MyColors, the actual WindowBlinds themes files are still left in the WindowBlinds directory.  When I had a problem with a different MyColors theme, I had to uninstall the theme through MyColors and then delete the actual WindowBlinds files through either WindowBlinds config or Windows Explorer and that took care of it.  Did you try that?  (Maybe that's what Shirley meant by "completely".)

Yes, sorry.  I need to remember to be more complete with my replies.  By Default WindowBlinds themes are stored in:

Vista: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds

XP:    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\WindowBlinds

You should see a folder in this location that you'll want to remove.  Also in the same Stardock folder will be a directory called ThemeManager where the actual MyColors themes are stored.  Try removing the .mycolors file from there as well.

Thank you for that.

That seemed to have fixed 1 side of it, but now the other side is still the same.

I'll try and follow your steps again in hopes that will fix it.

Edit: That feels a lot better.

Thank you for all your help.
