Is there anyway to make a your trade route go through systems where you can't colonize and build a trade port? Like Gas Planets and Nebulas?
Starbases in Entrenchment can have trade modules built on them, and they can be built in neutral territories (asteroid belts, space junks, gas giants, suns etc) so yes.
with the tec, building starbases with tradeing ports to extend your trade lanes brings in a LOT of credits, exspecaly when you have multi-star trade lanes. Not to mention the fact that starbases themselfs bring in a lot of creds to, only takes about 20 mins for a starbase to pay for its self with the trade ports built on to them.
