why is it that everytime i click on the "last post" button it simply brings me to the first page of the thread and not the last post at all. I may as well jsut click on he thread name if thats what i wanted. so whats going on here.
Clicking on the most recent post always brings to me the most recent (unread) post. Have you not read the threads in question? It seems to interpret it as "first unread post".
that's weird i think it's a problem with my laptop cuz with my home pc (which i rarely use) it works. Probably a problem with my firefox, I heard IE might be the ebst browser for this wedbsite. any truth to that??
I use FF3 and have no issues. No experience with IE; I have a replacement for it by the name of Avant that I fire up to read threads that go over FF's pixel limit, but that's about it.
this "bug" is still happening to me regardless of whether or not I'm on my laptop. It's just a nuissance.

It is probably another issue with the edit display, where posts that have lots of HTML and/or have been edited many times greatly inflate the page size or break the rendering. These issues are being worked on for the next update.
For future reference, if you have any issue with the forums, please make a new post in the Forum Issues category so the webdevs will see it.

Er, actually that was mostly at Gmooni's unrelated issue here. The little arrow icon doesn't seem to actually go to the last post; if a thread has multiple pages, the best thing to do for now is to just hit the "Last" link in the pagination links below the title in the listings.
@ Kryo, Thank you for help, is there a way to just delete what is in the edit view and start over, just wondering? I was looking already made thread about forum bugs and found this one. I was trying to kill two birds wtith one stone. Any way I will make a new post in coorect place.

No, the edit history cannot be deleted (that would defeat the point), however your issue should already be resolved with the new forum build that went up this morning. Histories are now only loaded when you click the button, rather than with the initial pageload.
