A Shrouded Heart...
A Poem

From a distance I see you,
So beautiful and precious,
And believe me, it's true,
These traits you possess are precocious.
Silly and strange you appear,
Funny and wise,
I still hold you dear,
You can't even tell lies.
If only you'd give me a chance,
To pierce the shroud that entwines your heart,
You could stop the ridiculous dance,
But you won't let it part.
Others have tried and failed,
You cast them away like a stone,
And secretly, I regaled,
But you never knew, for I was alone.
You may think I'm different,
Weird and strange or so it seems,
That's what I convey, its not maginificent,
Deep down I have feelings, emotions, and dreams.
I know you are putting up a shroud,
I can see it in your eyes, even if you can't see into mine,
Let me dispel this stupid cloud,
And let your true self start to shine.
Whew....exhausting work, writing these....
