Add a "delete occurance" option

I was playing the game on the easiest setting in order to get used to the game and was doing well. All of a sudden, the economy went bad and NOTHING that I could do would eliminate the negative income, no matter how I changed the economy sliders. Also, at the same time I was attacked by space pirates who were far stronger than all my ships combined. Plus, they only attacked me. There obviously is a problem here. We need to be able to disable the "random occurances" or at least limit the damage that they can do to any one player!

Also, what do we do when the economy sours and no matter how we move the economic sliders, we get negative income?

Kinda Like the Bell Jar option in Alpha Centauri? Hell, if the game was stable enough, an Ironman (save, only when exiting the game) option would be great too. The first one would make the game easier, the second one would make it harder. Autosave would have to be disabled as well.
