But seriously, people take PC-ness too far. I mean, how many of the people who claimed that "Baa Baa Black Sheep" was racist do you reckon were actually black?
And that also sounds less like political incorrectness than the sort of Islamophobia that results in taxi drivers getting stabbed.

Banned because I'm reading a fascinating book called What Technology Wants that sets out (among other things) a pretty compelling case for a system of biological evolution that pushes radically different species in radically different environments into a few convergent forms dictated by the rules of efficiency and physics, in a way auto-organizing them in a much more deterministic and orderly manner than simple natural selection is usually thought of as allowing.

I was making a point regarding to how there was a stir in Britain when a bunch of (mostly) atheists got all pissy about Christian street-preachers. There reasoning for why people shouldn't be allowed to preach Christianity on the streets was because it would offend Muslims. Many Islamic leaders in Britain then replied that not only do Christianity and Islam have many similarities, but many Muslims would be glad simply to see that religion is still something that one can be open about.
