I find that the xenophobia usually extends to the unknown or those that fit under some umbrella of threatening. We're pretty familiar with the English and not expecting them to cause grief. Hell, a bunch live here in Texas and everyone likes em.

Sure, it's most likely a typo, but sometimes people just use words in very weird ways, both spelling them correctly and ignoring their common usage.

...Besisdes, I remember one year it was at least a month before Halloween and they were putting Christmas decorations up at the Duane Reed at the Port Authority. (Local Pharmacy chain in New York City)
