Just bought Demigod

I think i suck :P

Well, i'll lay it out for you.  I read some small stuff about Demigod here and there watched a few trailers, so on and so forth, well when I read today about it being released early and how the dev's came in on a day off to get it rolling w/o any bs "cd protrection" I decided to buy it, so I loaded up stardock and bought Demigod for those reasons.

Anywho so far I'm amazed at the detail/camera freedom, but as you might have noticed without a huge knowledge of the game and never playing it prior(also buying online i dont have a manual)   I'm pretty much lost... I played and won Two tournaments as the ... The Rook hes fun.  I won however without really doing much, put up a few towers and I put some skill points into the hammer, archers ect.   I kinda feel like I did nothing to win.  So decided to load up a skirmish and try out another class to be fair, tried what I think is refered to as the Torch barrier and for about 45 mins was in a stalemate.

Before I quit the skirmish, I did notice options to upgrade my own armor and what seemed to be elixirs.

How do I go about being better skilled or just learn an overall knowlege of the game, from what I can tell there isn't a much needed tutorial for those members like myself.

Any help is appriecated, thanks in advance :)

Collossel?  Do you mean Rook?

As far as getting better... play.  Play a lot.

as rook in a skirmish you really dont have to do much your right but take some time to look at items and to look at the talent trees to see whats good and whats useless

Maybe you didn't notice this, I didn't at first. There are tabs at the item store to buy different kinds of items. Like Helmets, Gloves, boots, etc. There are a ton of items there to go through to try out different setups and builds depending on what skills you buy your character.

There is also a second tab at the Artifact shop that sells more powerful consumables.

You can also buy upgrades for your citadel.

Try reading the guides section to look at different hero's abilities, or getting ideas for skill and item builds. Basically, you're going to have to learn each hero's abilities, strengths, and weaknesses to become good at the game. You're also going to have to learn all the items too.
