Cheat Code Central Posts First Demigod Review

The folks over at Cheat Code Central have published the first review for Demigod, and gave it a 4.3 out of 5!  It’s a great review so head over and check it out.

“Maps are well-designed with plenty of choke points, defensive areas, and key objective positions to control. At ground level, you'll get a great view of the carnage and the massive strength of the clashing demigods and their forces. Panning back to greater distances lets you appreciate the beauty of each battlefield location. The excellently varied arenas range from the top of a spire-like temple surrounded by lush jungles below and a classically inspired causeway with Romanesque statues and flowing fountains, and a lava-filled underworld and a sci-fi nightscape. The combatants themselves are also a sight to be seen.”

Good and honest review. I personally have no problem with the "cheesy one-liners and familiar phrases", I do however not like the background music in game. It's a bit boring. You can barely hear it and units smashing, tower bashing is to loud compare to the background music.

As far as replay value goes it really depends on the games. After a 1 hours game you will most likely feel tired and stop playing, while some just keep going till they drop. The game is rather simplistic at the moment, but with constant update, downloadable content or expansion pack and excitement tournaments and such, I think this will last for a very long time.

Congratulation your first "Great" review given to Demigod :)

I knew it was a great job, but it's good to hear it from an outside source!

You do know you can adjust your volume levels, right?  Just turn the other sounds down and leave music at a higher level, if you want to hear it.

I have some doubts as to how much the reviewer knows what he is talking about, but the score is good either way :D

Yea.

Hopefully customers dont know that Gnats3 and they buy the game :P

Lol I will wait for a real website to give it a score ( Ign, Gamespot, and others )

Gamespot is hardly a real website. After they fired one of their editors over the Kane & Lynch Watergate fiasco I lost faith.
