Impulse/Demigod account using my real name

I have an impulse account (which is the account used for Demigod) but the system only wants to display my real name instead of my username. My impulse account settings, like the account setting on this board, show my username to be Darxevn but don't seem to use it. When I login to Demigod online I use my username (Darxevn) but once I am in the game it says I am logged in as my real name which is displayed freely to all both in games, in the chat, and on the pantheon webpage. What is going on here and is there anyway I can make the game display my username and not my real name?
