refund?

Can we get refunds?? lolz i mean between today and yesterday ive tried playiing this game opened the nesscary ports.. still spent more time stuck in menus and scrwed in multiplayer than actaully playing the game... half of the options in the game dont work.. pantheon.. instant action.. normally when i buy something and half of it is broken i get a refund.. so since the store wont take back an open game.. will you guys be offering any kind of RMA.. or way to send it back.. I mean the game looks great.. but truthfully that fact that you relesased a multiplayer intensive game that focuses on multiplayer only! and none of the multiplayer works?? i mean steal my money more why dont you.. sell me a car with no wheels??i want my money back...

Blame the pirates for overloading the servers.

"Blame the pirates" is an awfully lame excuse.  I believe part of Stardock's "Gamers' Bill of Rights" is that you get refunds for games that don't work.  But, then again, I think another part was "games should work on release day," so I don't know if Stardock really honors that "Bill of Rights."  I don't recall either of those "rights" being qualified by "unless the developer can come up with some excuse," though I admittedly did not read the fine print.

I would like to know this as well i can't even install the stupid thing. messed with it for 2 days, i'm done with it

You can get a refund at [email protected].

Read up on the Gamers' Bill of Rights. All Stardock games, whether we develop them or publish them, follow it which means you can get a refund on one of our games if it fails to work for you regardless of whether you bought it at retail or digitally from us.

FUN!!!

It's a sick game, just give it a few days.  I'm frustrated as hell too but the game's got a lot of potential.

I have bought the game and look forward to playing it.   I am VERY far from wanting my monies back but Kudos to StarDock for being so open with us and their desire to build a loyal following.   With a bill of rights like this ... that is a HUGE plus for them.   I for one am willing to wait quite a while for the debounce and for things to calm down.   That said though ... on-line is where the game's core will live or die so we should expect them to get this fixed as quickly as is humanly possible.

my biggest fear is that the multiplayer community will disapear because of these early problems, had it worked the first day, this would have been as popular as Dota within a couple of weeks

Not to sound like a jerk, but maybe you could give it the rest of the week at least and see if the multiplayer issues are fixed. Play some single player and figure out your favorite demigod. Come up with some interesting builds and discuss them on the forums. Give it some time and if you and Stardock have not resolved your issues with the game, then please feel free to request a refund. I'm not trying to make excuses for Stardock, but I have a hard time remembering a popular online game that I've bought near launch that didn't have some serious issues for some users right off. I'm sure I'll be corrected by somebody, but I am just saying my experience...

Oh, and Frogboy (Stardock in general really), keep up the good work. Todays update and server upgrade has helped my online experience imensely.

No, this Impulse regestration has been THE WORST I have ever ever ever seen.

I have had a headache fighting this horrable brain dead idea of a security system. Its a good paying customer killer. I have wanted to hunt down and murder every fucking developer of this game.

Now, dont get me wrong the games good but the account system and loggin is HORRID. Email merging? Why not multiple email accounts where both emails accept? Jessus christ. Unless someone can help me get through this im about to have more fun posting everywhere on why this game blows nuts. I have tried and tried.

Heres my probelm:

- Couldt get online.

-Merged account regestrations.

-Played one night.

-Came home the nextday to find out its back on my old email and I am suffering from the orriginal problem. Only now I cannot fix it because that email that I bought the game with is regesterd and the "Account Pass recovery" simply refreshes the page or tells me affter it prompts me for the email to the account says "The Username/Password combo you entered is invalid"

WTF???

Help please. Maybe I am overreacting and missing something... But please help.

^^ @Maxxiipads:

Wow uhmm... when's the last time you took a deep breath? I'm not sure how much help you are going to get on this forum as far as account and email issues. Sounds to me like you should be talking directly to Stardock support. I've never had to mess with the email account merging scheme they've got going so I don't know how much I can help. I do hope you calm down and get all of your demigod issues resolved. Maybe somebody will come along and have more information.

[email protected] is your best bet.

I dunno, I just looked at the Games list in Impulse (that also shows games in progress and all) and there are tons of games in progress and waiting.

It's already much better now than Tuesday, too.

@Vid-szhite

noob? you can't play the game on the stardock multyplayer server if you got no serial key @_@
End of Nolc's quote

that was incorrect; for a length of time the servers didn't care about keys or not. they were still operating under the assumption that the only way to be able to play was if you had the beta, and the beta (at the time) was only available to those who pre-ordered and downloaded through Impulse.

@bullet ya mm that's for a length of time.. were talking about now.. since the games out.. and umm the only way to play online is with a serial regsitred key through impulse... so no.. not fail.. pay attention to the dates plz.. and yes i agree i should give the game time and what not.. im just making sure.. because if u read the fine print you only have a certain amount of days to get your free refund so in case.. For example:Shadowrun.. the developer studio leaves me high and dry outta 50 bucks.. i dont get scwered again.. this games is so far friggin awesome.. if it worked.. i would probably say it would woop dotas a** once it gets some more heros.. but like shadowrun.. good games dont always take off.. and shadows runs multiplyer was not only multi platform.. pc-and xbox players.. but it worked right off the bat.. and they still failed... so this game is already starting off on the wrong foot.. hence the Refund?=question.. not immediate help lolz sry if i stirred some trouble.. i do believe i stated in my first post.. the game is friggin awesome.. but when i saw that video.. it looked all too much cliche like a publisher who bought a game from a studio with tons of bugs. and no studio support.. so im kinda weary of how much game content(new heros) well be getting in the future =9 ... i do hope for the best though !! = D

God, I can't even start my game and I don't even want a refund.  I just want it to work.  But I guess if I can't find a real answer to my problem in the next couple of days there won't be any reason not to ask for one.  Glad that they support refunds at least.

Heya, thanks for the reply, I have sent an email to the suport. Waiting for a relpy. And I was just having an off day and trying to figure out a problem that I thought was already solved didt exactly make me happy. But thanks for the people that responded.

That is some lame coding. Pirates who can't even play online still take down Stardock's server/authenticator just by attempting to connect?.

Not really. To get to decline the pirates access packages will be send to the server and afterwards reject those users. How else will the server know it's warez or not? :) So when 120.000 users simultaneously tries to connect - well, that's a lot of data to handle. It's like when you enter the wrong username/password - you've just 'overloaded' the server with useless info :)

Well, I presume that's how it works - I'm just a bot *biiip*

It can't tell whether they're pirates or not. It's just the update check and keep alive. It's an oversight by Stardock, and nothing more.

I had same problem (hopefully Stardock is learning from this - too many having trouble like this maybe?).  But support had it fixed in about 24 hours! |-)

"Not to sound like a jerk, but maybe you could give it the rest of the week at least and see if the multiplayer issues are fixed. Play some single player and figure out your favorite demigod."

This is impossible when the single player crashes constantly.
