Honestly Peer to Peer connection was a poor choice

I want so badly for the multiplayer in this game to run smoothly but there are still too many issues, should we expect another patch to fix what still hasn't been fixed? cause it's still broken

Normal host based multyplayer with the option to set the tick rate to 100 90 80 70 what ever would have been the best thing....

and may i ask what happens when the host leaves, or loses a connection?

and may i ask what happens with one player has a bad connection to a other player...i guess the whole game will lag....and how big are the chances for that to happen if in a 5 on 5 game one player has to open 9 connection to 9 diffrent people.....hmmmm?

 

If it works for sc and wc3 and will work for sc2....it maybe, could have workd for demigod....besides that....If you have a host based MP system you can make a (like i do for dota games)

Dedicated Root Server with 100 MBit/s host your games running on 50 ms means: no lag's no host disconnect no nothing, just perfect gameplay.

Conceptually Peer to Peer is greate idea, but I gotta say, if there is a host, then at least folks with bad pings/connections can get bounced, this at least allows the game to be established with 'stable' connections, but in peer to peer we have no such luck..so even getting a freakign game started is near impossible,and if you do it pretty assured once the game starts..its likely not gonna work they its expected..at least the 2 games I was able to start in MP, I immediatly got the messaged (player has disconnected..etc..etc..)..I think every mp game I've played was in fact solo against ai due to everyone else disconnecting..(prolly an issue with my network confict..but how the hell am I supposed to trouble shoot this...before the game starts itshows everyone 'connected')...sigh...

 

maybe the the next coule of weeks will have this resolved...but I have my doubts.
