interface too small at high resolutions (formerly: interface scales with resolution)

this is bad

All parts of the interface (bar on bottom, minimap, text boxes) scale with different resolutions - i.e., they shrink as your resolution increases.  This means at higher resolutions, everything is too small.  Personally, I think this is the wrong way to do it.  It should instead be like Warcraft III, where the interface is a fixed size regardless of the resolution.  Or, at least, the size of Demigod's interface needs to be significantly increased at higher resolutions (like 2560x1600).

Example of the problem:

Demigod at 1680x1050 (reasonable sized interface)

Demigod at 2560x1600 (teeny-tiny-isty-bitsy sized interface with text boxes that give you migraines to read)

You have it backwards -- the interface is currently _not_ scaling with the resolution. It's always the same pixel size, because its a bitmapped interface without support for stretching. Thus, when you have a higher rez, it looks smaller as it is the same pixel size on a screen with more pixels.

Adding scaling would be nice, but I doubt that's going to happen -- it's rather difficult to go from a raster interface to vector all of a sudden.

Yeah, I certainly may have not used the terminology correctly, but the bottom line is the interface is too small at high resolutions and something should really be done about it.

My monitor's native res is 2560x1600, and the game is essentially unplayable at that res given this issue (it's not just text boxes, the smaller buttons make gameplay more difficult, and the minimap is so small it's utterly useless).  I've resorted to playing at the lower 1680x1050 res for now, which is a shame because the game looks so much better at the higher res.

Maybe give an option to enable scalling, but not force it. I like the way the game appears on my 23" 2048*1152

I run at 2560x1600 as well, on a 30"... I've found that the best way to play is zooming out, looking around and zooming in to the desired location to move the camera instead of trying to move the camera with the cursor or the minimap. And using the number and function keys for spells/abilities/items makes the screen rez irrelevant and ups your game by at least 10x.
