LAN games disconnecting all users (netsplitting)

Hi all - read through a bunch of threads here but couldn't find this specific problem.  I convinced several of my firends to pick up this game so we could plan LAN games.  Unfortunately, about 80% of the games we start playing end up netsplitting.  For those new to that term, it basically drops all players from each game and we're left as the only person in our respective games with the AI taking over for our friends.  One game becomes 4 individual games.

This is quite frustrating as we got the game specifically to replace WC3 DOTA as on our weekly LAN game night.  Has anyone else run into this and/or know a solution?  It happens on both wired and wireless networks, regardless of who hosts, and appears to happen at a random point late in the match almost always corresponding with someone getting a kill.  Not the first kill, not one that triggers an achievement or anything significant, just a random kill.

Thanks for reading, and any help provided!

Never seen this.  Have you tried online mode instead of lan mode?  Though there shouldn't be a difference, I would try a custom online game and see if it occurs with that.

And I am sure it is sill to ask, but you are all updated through impulse right?

i experienced the same problem over wlan, but after we used our standard network cables it worked perfectly!

exact same issue happening to me.  I've tried wired switched networks as well as wireless, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.  The game runs great w/ 2 players, but once we had 4 humans (and 4 bots) in a game, after about 10-30 minutes, invariably we'd all lag for about 5-10 seconds, then suddenly AI would take over for all players and we'd each be in our own solo game.  How could the network reliability be so poor?  What would be causing this?  We've checked all firewalls, AV, etc. and can't find a thing pointing to the reason for this.
