Compass in Mini Map?

This might have already been suggested (let me know if it is) but yesterday I was playing a really good custom game.  My team mates were very sociable and we were really working together as a team... suggesting citadel upgrades and pushing together.  First time playing demigods where it really felt like an in house DotA games (minus the trash talking  ).  Anyway everything was going smoothly for us except for one small annoyance.  With the camera angles and the mini map twisting to fit your view it was nearly impossible to tell your allies to cover a tower or push a lane since everything is relative to your camera angle.  The conversation went like this:

Me: quick they're pushing the top tower... someone go cover it.

Allie:  which is the top tower?

Me: the one above me?

Allie:  thats a flag not a tower

Me: no no... above that... towards the base a bit.

Allie:  oh.. gotcha.

Me:  nvm... they took the tower now :(

So we came up with an idea shortly after this that what would really make Demigod a really good tourney/team based game would be either a ping system when I could just ping the mini map so everyone knew where I was talking about.  Or perhaps a compass of sorts that twisted with the mini map so rather than saying "the tower above me" it would be "the tower east of me".  Or something like that.

Of course I don't have to mention things like being able to issue commands on the mini maps since that already been suggested by quite a few people, however I feel that just having a compass or ping might be enough to really make this a team based game  .

Just always treat your base as south.

The gate is always down, Bean.

Compass would be nice though.

Should add 100 things to the UI so you can't even see the game anymore and you're only looking and data and fluff..
