Auronold's 'First Impression' Strategies

First Impression meaning playing in Singleplayer through each character

Hello! Welcome to what I would hope to call a pretty good guide to playing. The purpose of this guide is just to give you an idea of how I've been enjoying each Demigod and how I go about my equipment during Singleplayer (I have no clue how effective any of this would be Multiplayer ^_^ )

Remember, my way of playing isn't the "right way" nor "the wrong way" but constructive criticism is appreciated from those who have more experience. These builds presented are shown as if you were lvl20. The order of which you build it is up to you if you choose to use.

My First Encounter Playing Demigod

I first got Demigod the day before it was released but I never played it till about three days after (had to go out of town that day). When I first played, I noticed one thing.. no tutorial (awe). My very first game in singleplayer was pretty hard at first, I didnt even finish it cause I got a little frustrated about what to do. I was playing the Torch Bearer at first. I backed out of the game and just relaxed a little, then went back into another new tournament with The Rook. This time however, I began to notice a few things. One. The Citadel - I realized it could be upgraded. Two. Theres a cool item shop(thank you!) Three. Favor Points

I didn't even notice the skill points neither till about lvl4 into that game and I was overwhelmed cause I didn't know what to choose. Eventually I found a good build (which I'll mention later in The Rook section) Soon I began buying a lot of items from the store but never realized that there was also a Artifact store as well (First time I got All Father's Ring.. drool lol) Singleplayer is pretty easy on Normal still, but thats okay. Its still fun to punt little minions off the edge of the map.

Now to my Demigod strategies and reviews of playing them (I have not completed a Tournament with all of the Demigods yet. Will be updated accordingly)

The Rook "The Creator"

Strengths: Durable, Many Independant Weapons

Weaknesses: Large Target, Slow Movement

The Rook so far is my favorite of all the Demigods ive played. He's pretty powerful later in game. The archer tower, trebuchet, and light tower are pretty nice as well when chasing down another Demigod, sometimes it gets them just before they run back into the defense towers.

Build:

Hammer Slam I -> Dizzying Force

Archer Tower -> Poisoned Arrows

Enhanced Attributes ->

God Strength ->

Boulder Roll -> Boulder Roll II

Unclean Beast "The Scourge"

Strengths: Fast Melee Attacker, Drain Health

Weaknesses: Limited Range, Relies on Health

Unclean Beast was pretty interesting and I probably never had die as much as I did with this Demigod. Clearly, i should NEVER try to play this Demigod on Multiplayer haha. BUT whenever I wasn't dieing my way to the top, I did make a pretty okay build. I really loved the mass spam of numbers though when a plague was about.

Build:

Venom Spit -> Putrid Flow

Inner Beast -> Acclimation

Enhanced Attributes ->

Post Mortem -> Plague II

Bestial Wrath I and II

Great, but you know, when you play rook try the towers of light and you will never play other demigod.

End of LordCarlos's quote

I dont know about never playing another demigod, but if you liked the shouldermounted weapons your going to love towers. Makes you more static, but agianst the AI (which your playing against it seems) the towers absolutely rape. Once you get to 4 you can expect the AI to kill itself and when you have 8, they do it consistently. You dont need to do anything, rather amusing if you ask me.
