Error when 'Failed to connect'

Just got an error which caused the game to have to be aborted, but didnt launch me out of the game.

 

I was joining a match and I failed to connect to a player, then it just locked up. I alt-tabed out and found this error displayed:

I hear a lot of people say they crash on ALT Tab. Try staying in Windowed mode.

I didn't alt-tab until the game had frozen. The error may have occured then, not sure. That is just what I saw when I tried to exit the game so I could restart.

I encounter the exact same issue. Anytime I fail to connect to a single person, the game locks up and I find that screen error waiting for me when I alt+tab out. I am using windows on a Mac in bootcamp, dunno if that makes a difference.
