Tell me how Regulus is supposed to beat QoT and Erebus on Dominate?

I was playing a 2vs2 Dominate game in Pantheon as Regulus on the Prison map.  Originally we were winning but then we got owned after about level 5 or so.

I went with Angelic Fury and Snipe.  Whenever I hit QoT, all I saw was "Absorbed" every time, and no damage to her it seems.  At times I did miniscule, useless amounts of damage, but obviously that didn't help me Dominate.

With Erebus, he would teleport in, own my face, then teleport out again.  And I couldn't damage him enough either.  No matter how many times I sniped him or from how far, it still did ineffective amounts of damage.

Please make posts that teach me how to play so that in the future situations like this I don't get owned so badly next time. Thanks. :*

You have allies. Work with them. Regulus is the best killer in the game when he has some form of support. All the overpowered DGs aren't overpowered when you realize you can't just rush in blind and expect to win.

That's the key of this game currently.

Every demigod get countered by another demigod in a way that you can't really do anything about it alone. So you need your team mate to counter your opponent's demigod who counter yours.

If you find your team losing on every duel (where both you and your partner risk death, while the other side have no risk in every encounter), retreat and camp near a tower where creep traffic flows. It is very difficult for the opponent to fight both you and the tower at the same time, hence you can hopefully hold a stalemate long enough to acquire items your need to overthrow them (main purpose is to pull your difference from your earlier death closer). Worst thing you can do is trying to act tough by challenging them again and feed them more than 2 times.

Yeah, you aren't going to win 2 vs 1.  And yes, QoT's thorn shield is pretty awesome around level 5 or so.  However she doesn't actually do a lot of damage, so you can often just tank her if you've got a potion or two.  Warlords punisher to drain her precious mana is also a nice 'un.  Since you probably want burst damage, go with mines instead of snipe.  DPS on mines is much greater than snipe.

That advice is dire considering that Pantheon pairs you up with random people  who most of the time have no interest in working with you.  :erk:

I've read many posts on this site about how mines are so uber, but it seems every time I use mines, they suck for some reason? What's up with that?

Here is your problem right here. Ditch AF and snipe, go with mines and mark of betrayer.  Lay MOB first, when they cast an ability (absorb) light their face up w/ mines because they will be slow as molasses. If you last until you've got scrapnel mines and upgrade your bow w/ weapon damage/ROF items, demigods will not want to be messing with you.

Havn't played pantheon yet, but in all the custom matches I've done, everyone is willing to listen if you take the time to talk to them.

If you're fighting against good generals, they are fairly useless if they see you plant them. Otherwise, they make great walls, and are pretty much the only thing Regulus can use to actually consolidate all those crazy kills he'll get by flag capping.

skip snipe/mines maybe one point in snipe if you feel its needed , go for angelic fury/range/stats , add slow if you are behind in movespeed , starting out with mards hammer and the atk gloves you do about 220 damage .

erebus is still a pain but cot cant absorb as much damage as you do go for lightning thingie (no i dont know the nameXD ) and warlords punisher , adding gloves of fell darkur (or crit gauntlets if you do enough damage) as soon as you can , the battle will swing in your favor at about 3000-4000 dominate points depending on how good you play , as then you can autoattack harder then erebus with bite/attack.

farm in the beginning and pick of qot as often as you can
