Merging the projects and more....

Ok, we just did a major internal update to both the www2.wincustomize.com site and the personal pages.  We were coding them as separate projects but in order to keep one code base we just merged the two together.  There is a chance that we broke a thing here or there so if you see anything that is not right please post the problem here or send me an email.

Also we added a few new things as well.

  • Added a My Skins page.
  • Added a Gallery Tab on the main site.
  • Updated the looks of the Articles view.
  • Updated the look of the logon tool bar.
  • And several other cosmetic changes that I cannot remember at this time.

Love the "gallery" tab on the main page. Gives you a nice overview of all categories with a thumbnail so you can choose quicker.

Is there any possibility of adding a jump or link (back to the main forum page) at the bottom of each topic page? Some of these topics/threads are quite long, and after scrolling down and reading the posts, it would be nice to not have to scroll back to the top to click the "General" button or what-have-you. Please?

Yeah, scrolling through everything is a real pain...

And when are the spelling problems going to be sorted? Though it is amusing to see on the submit post page "This will help to decrease errors, such as spelling and grammer" hehehe

The new WinCustomize is awesome!

But today I made some minor updates to my Graf and Blue Glass Folders, several minutes have passed and they have disappeared.

When clicking on a previously read topic that has a new post (the blue envelope/page icon), it takes me to the initial post at the beginning of the topic...on the old site/forum, it would take me to my last read post/page...any possibility that might be carried over to here? I know it has to do with cookies, but not sure why it wouldn't work here as well.

If you have a middle "wheel" on your mouse, you can push it in , like a button and then just move your mouse forward and it will zoom you to the top. At least mine does

I'm sorry T-Man! Overall I think WC2K5 is much, much better than the old one. The transition shouldn't be simple and easy. I've been reading some articles and comments of problems and the best some of us can do is just be patient.
