SLI & Sins Issue

Computer keeps locking up within a few minutes

Hello all!

Looking for a little assistance...

I just got a 780i and installed it over the weekend, reformatted my OS (Vista 64-bit Home Premium) and now Sins crashes within a few minutes of use.  What's strange is Sins is the ONLY game I have that does this...  I ran Vegas 2 for a good hour with no issues what so ever.  It plays fine for about ten minutes or so, then you hear the sound loop and the screen is completely frozen.

I read some where that Sins has a RAM issue and you have to under clock your RAM to 667.  I also read if you lower your settings to High instead of Highest, the issue is fixed.  I didn't get a chance to try either of these out but am curious about other people's thoughts.

I also tried Sins in single GPU mode and it still crashed, it just took slightly longer.  Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!  :)

PC Specs:

EVGA 780i FTW (Supports 1066 RAM, but for some reason has under clocked it to 800)

8 GB DDR2 1066

74 GB Raptor HD (OS)

2x 300 GB Raptor HD (Programs)

300 GB WD (Backup)

1000 Watt Ultra PS

Vista 64-bit Home Premium

Do you have your video drivers and the game both updated to the latest versions?

What do you mean by crash? Do you get a minidump?

No, the computer freezes and the sound loops as stated above.  You can't alt tab, ctrl+alt+del or anything.  It needs a manual reboot.

Ah... could be a sound card issue rather than graphics.

Well I toned everything down to high last night and everything was fine...  Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might happen?
