Unclean Beast--Can spot me and kill me before I can teleport?!

If by leveled up you mean "several levels above me" then I would say, don't let him get that high lol.

Otherwise, teleport is easily interruptable with a long cast time and you are stationary. It won't save you 100 percent of the time. The AI has a problem where it forgets players can interrupt it, and almost always dies to my pounce.

Also if you win the fight in the first place, you won't need teleport to escape, only to buy items lol. 

I don't mean levels above me, I just mean high level.

I mentioned teleporting because once we're in mid to late game, it seems like I can't beat UB or make him go away, and I can't run away because he can catch me, so it seems like my only choice would be to teleport--except he can kill me faster than I can teleport.

I just can't figure it out.

Lately I've been playing Oak. Looking at a few threads, it looks like people are saying Sheild is the key. I've been using it, but maybe haven't been timing it well.

Shield removes his spit, so if he's harassing you early game with spit get shield at level 1 to remove that.

Try using a heart of life mid to late game, shield yourself and then use it when you are low and it will regenerate health until you get attacked by something once the shield wears off.

It only removes debuffs at rank 3 or something. But yeah, Shield + Heart of Life is a lifesaver.

UB is extremely dangerous if he gets enough gold.  Once he's strong enough that he can just run up to you and attack you without worrying about towers or other demigods supporting you, the game is pretty much over since he can just run up and kill you with impunity.  Also, teleport is a poor idea against most beasts, because even one level in foul grasp can negate it.

Basically, the moral of the story is that if you allow the other team to get a decisive gold advantage, you'll be hard pressed to win.  The Unclean Beast wins through demigod kills, which can seem particularly cheap, but it may just be a symptom of your team dying a lot early on.

I had the same problem with an Erebus last night.  However, my allies were both 0-4 when he was doing this, and most of those kills were made by Erebus.  So that's like 8000 gold he has that I do not.  Is it any surprise he can walk right up to me and just slaughter me and there's nothing I can do about it?

Bottom line - I think you are s**t out of luck.

Master Shake, you might want to actually read the responses people have given in Agent of Kharma's thread, because it seems that he hasn't. Wand of Speed is a trinket for 1250 that gives you a 25% increased movement speed buff for 8 seconds, I play as UB and anytime I've seen somebody use one they get away from me faster than I can react. Against DGs who can stun like UB, Erebus, Sedna, or even Rook, teleporting is not the optimal way to escape, as an interrupt leaves you extremely vulnerable. It's much more reliable to use a Wand--in combination with other +speed items even, if you like. If you're using Shield, you may be better off to just hit Shield and run rather than hitting Shield and using that time to try and teleport, because your opponent doesn't know what level of Shield he has he will probably just give up the kill for lost and let you go as soon as you Shield, assuming that it will be too long.

If nothing else, you can always pick up Last Stand and take your revenge after you've gotten killed!

Also, I made a thread over here that has some anti-Unclean Beast strategy tips, from someone who plays that Demigod, which I hope you will find helpful.

Even when I die to other DGs, at least it feels like I died in a "battle". With UB, I always feel like a bug hitting a windshield. The UB just creams me in seconds.

I agree with the above posts, the only real way to escape UB is to pump up your speed with the wand and get behind your towers... if he's at the stage where he can run through 5 or 6 towers and still kill you without dying... I think you're side is probably boned, since at its base, it should not be that resillient against that much damage... if its too close to you already, as oak, then you might want to penitence it before using your wand of speed

that way it is slowed down and taking additional damage from everything it goes near

if you put on a shield in addition to this and play defensively, you should be quite well off... but most intelligent UB players will not try and take you down in such a circumstance unless they are VERY sure they can get away scot-free
