UB- Post Mortem -> Plague

Now, i could be wrong, but when I was playing as UB, I noticed that after I upgraded Post Mortem to Plague, the creeps I attacked stopped exploding. Assuming that I'm correct that choosing Plague wipes out the prior Post Mortem, is it worth upgrading? 300-450 damage over 30 seconds lategame is almost nothing, and won't wipe a wave of creeps on it's own. Post Mortem, on the other hand, seems to one-hit creeps caught in the explosion, so UB can wipe a wave of creeps just by killing 1-2 in the right place.

They still explode.

(Not all of them though; just pay attention and you'll notice.)

Ah, weird that they stopped getting killed then... I guess my opponents must have upgraded their defence right about when I upgraded the attack. Thanks for setting me straight~

Yea but when you just have post mortem Every single one of them explodes. Post mortem seems alot more effective than plague too me because plagues damage is not very high and mearly serves to get you an assist on every enemy in the general vicinity.

You have to keep in mine that if you have plague on every single creep in the game and you get 25% or more dmg on them, you get their experience and gold when they die regardless of your position on the map making plageu alot more usefull then you think. Correct me if i'm wrong though.

Not to mention plague is a great talent to prevent an opponent for using his heart of life for 30 seconds which means you can activate it and go back to chase him.

It is kinda situational but DOT is usefull.

It seems that creeps affected by the plague cannot get post mortem on them. So, only creeps that do not have the plague, and that you one-shot kill, will explode from post mortem.

I too do not upgrade that line of skill beyond post mortem.

I don't find plague usefull at all, honestly. By the time it's avalible the damage it causes is very low(300 damage over 30 seconds). Plague can be spread to other units, but only if they get close to each other, and you'll probably kill the enemy before this can happen. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe your allies can be infected as well, meaning you might kill your own creeps.

In the long run I only get Post Mortem to increase my creep killing speed.

Post mortem is applied by melee attacks only, to be clear here, which may be why people are getting kills without explosions when using plague.

As to the usefulness of plague, it can end up infecting pretty much the whole map, but the damage is low. It just depends if you need low damage over time or not. I generally do not take Plague personally.

Yeah I play quite a bit of UB and I find plague to be useless overall. Even against enemy demigods as an extra debuff. Stick with postmortem and upgrade other skills or even stats.
