Question to Frogboy and company

There was a time I had the veteran title, and now I'm apparently citizen. While I believe I know the how and why I am citizen now, how do I go about getting the old veteran title back?

I recommend you post with a more descriptive subject. Please don't take it as a personal attack. Everybody and their brother posts "Question" as the subject and it doesn't help get your question answered.

Did you cheat or what happened?

He knows why he lost it :)
He wants to know how he can get it back, and obviously
it wasnt such a thing as to get him banned.

I think he would get better results taking it to email
though. Pleading on a forum about a personal matter
generally points to having some ulterior agenda.

I would if I had an email to work with. Granted its not that major, its more of pride thing :-)

For the record, not it wasn't cheating. It was more likely my abrasive posts in more than a few threads I think.

What about the hotmail account that you registered with?

Sorry for the confusion CariElf, my post wasnt so well worded. I meant to say I dont have a known contact on the Stardock end to talk to about this...

I didn't want to be too inquisitive. No offense meant. :)

Vridian--

No offense was taken. The smiley in reply #5 should've set your mind at ease there. I pride myself on having a decent reputation, and I dont like being labled as destructive or a troller because while I can tend to be abrasive at times, I do care about this game. So that's why I started this dialogue. And with this being in the open, its public domain anyhow...so no worries :-)

forceinfinity,

If you say you do care about the game, do something about it.

I'm making you a personal invitation to join the White Council. Take an active role in one of our upcoming community projects and make your contribution.

Let me know if you are keen. ;)

My understanding is that you pick up these titles if you're seen as being a positive member in the forums, generally helpful to the newbies and the like. For examples, one of the people in this forum ended up being given the Diplomat title for alot of the things he's done. I hope this makes a little more sense.

Yes, it's like I'm back in my Catholic high school, with the brothers giving out Merits and Demerits behind the scenes. :)

I recently made Diplomat, now I have to work up to Ambassador status...

(not to rub it in forceinfinity, I'm sorry you got demoted, I must have missed the thread that brought that about.) ~SDC~

No need to apologize....it was my own dumb fault. While I dont think it was the brutal honesty stuff that got me, it was the extra junk I tacked on to the posts that would come across as a swipe that got me. I figure next time, I'll just bring facts and check my emotions/ego at the door since it seems both ended up getting the better of me.

Huh...I assumed it was post count too. I hadn't really paid that close attention. Ah, Forceinfinity, there's your problem...you're chaotic evil LOL
No worries. Communicating with a strictly verbal medium like this is a challenge at times. Whatever happened, glad you're still here and it'll all work out.

You mean they're rankings depending on how much certain mystery people approve of you? Hmm... And it seems that people really value this ranking. I have to admit that I find this a bit bizarre and somewhat unsettling. :p

eh, screw it. forceinfinity, I've been watching you carefully, and I hereby dub you knight of the galactic civ independent round table! You may not assume all the respect and honours that this position deserves. congratulations!

p.s. If you haven't heard of the round table before, that's ok. It's somewhat arbitrary and moderately meaningless, but nonetheless extremely coveted ;)

oops, I meant "you may now assume", not "you may not assume." well, whatever. Close enough.

Glad to hear that! Somehow I did not realise that there was a :)-Smiley there. ;)
