Erebus poisoned potion

It should be labeled or changed to a different color for teammates so they don't accidentally use it and take damage.

Suggested way back in beta... imho, it should be a normal pot to friends and a "negative" pot to enemies. "Traditionally", vampire blood has both positive and negative effects, depending on the intended use.

A teammate and I actually had a cool situation with Erebus's potion. I had a death potion of mine in Cataract, that was made known to my friend. He was getting smited by 2 DG's, he waited until his health was very low then purposely drank the potion to give me gold instead of allowing the enemy DG's full credit.

Post is a little off topic but it was pretty cool nonetheless ^_^

Am I the only one that has noticed that sometimes the potions have a red glow? I've never actually noticed if this means they are poisoned ones or just super special later game ones.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that.
Being that you can already drink the potions and use the scrolls that your allies drop when they die, this would already be balanced and it functions fairly well on a lore level.

Excellent suggestion.

Can you drink it yourself and take no damage if you are Erebus and it's your potion?

Nope, it even hurts yourself

This fix is a no brainer.

Make it red to team mates, same to the enemy. Simple as that.

Then it would be totally useless. As it is, the enemy will drink one then be wary the rest of the game.

Best moment evar:

Zechnophobe has Killed Zechnophobe (1600 gold).

I actually killed myself on my own potion a moment before getting killed by an enemy... and I Got GOLDZ for it.

Lol yeah funny...shouldn't hurt yourself, should heal....should hurt allies and enemies....but I know not to drink any potions that I can't confirm aren't Erebus's :-p

Something needs to be done, taking a skill should never hurt your team.  Potions have a ton of potential to do just that.  The poison potions should either heal teammates and only damage enemies, or show up with a warning for teammates.  The potion being red or having a skull and crossbones over it would work.

I've killed 3 teammates so far, and ALMOST killed myself before remembering I'd died there earlier.

Agreed. On so many levels.
