The Blue Iris and Black Pupil
Be Beautiful You

Definitely open to some help on this one as it really comes across as two poems or maybe it would look more pleasing to me if it had more parts...anyway, here it is. -suspeckted
Let me measure it with this tool,
as according to the blue iris and black pupil,
just as I thought,
the distance between what it sees and my hands is much to far,
impossible to yield an accurate result,
come closer so that I may offer you my hypothesis,
see here Miss, star shapes, don't look anything like real stars...
and you are the only shape that seems to fit into these hands,
so that you and I are a perfect imperfect fit,
a match made,
in the matchbook,
ready to strike anywhere,
to burn through the first impressions of second speculations,
and I promise that these words I offer you aren't made in desperation,
Now step outside and be beautiful baby,
Be the breath I can see when I'm steppin' on out in the morning,
be the smile on your face when you wake me when I'm snoring,
Be the elderly couple at the movies throwing popcorn at each other,
be the goodnight kiss that begs for another,
Be the sound and smell of leaves crunching below my shoes,
be the rock, the roll, the hip and hop, the rhythm and the blues,
Babygirl, be the bad brave beautiful you.
and teach me, forever in turn,
my blue irises and black pupils ever so eager to learn.
