Demigod: Eon

The Story:

It spoke to him. It told the boy about the primordial gods. About how some, could be stopped even with their infinite power, and how some like it, could not be stopped. It told him about the Gods of Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth. It told him about the eternal siblings Light & Shadow that spawned the Primordials, who then in turn spawned the Gods.

"The Gods were Quick to turn on us though, they feared our power", it said. "They cast us out into the void".

"What is the Void"? The boy had Questioned.

"A Great Unspeakable Numbing Blindness", it said. "I alone remained, tethered to the spirit of the earth". "But Then I found you".

It then told the boy, how to think like a god, how to be a god. But the boy still persistent questioned the ancient evanescent god's power. The Primordial Being then explained to him that an unstoppable force soon to be known as gravity was what he controlled. But he explained that mortal's think that gravity is only an unstoppable force that depends on the size of the object. The Gravity Lord then explained Gravity was a Force. A Force that can pull and push, A Force that can Explode and Implode. A Force That Cannot Be Stopped, and can be shaped into anything. It Then Told The Boy: That They Were Going To Destroy The Gods.

Powers:

  • Controls unstoppable forces in an array of shapes and ways
  • Multi-Level Intelligence
  • Can Use the force for defense and offense

Pros:

  • Amazingly Strong
  • Extremely Smart
  • Flexible Power

Cons:

  • Sort of slow
  • Low HP's due to it inhabiting a human body
  • Affected By the atmosphere (e.g. no oxygen)

Haven't come up with abilities yet. Feel free to comment and come up with your own.

End of quote

I'm sure noone thinks that.

At least I hope.

Two obvious abilities: comet fall and "slow" (increased gravity = you move slower)

Wonderful Ideas! And I do see your point but I couldn't bring myself to put the word density in their when the game is set (I think) thousands of years ago.

With a name like this i was expecting something more temporal in nature although if you really want to you could do something like that using "t3h physics" ... How about some kind of AoE crushing attack? or something like a "leap-esque" manouveability skill?

Well i have some ideas for spells/auras/passives:

heavy(passive)-makes your hits heavier thus causing them to deal more damage

spontaneous implosion(aura)-units around Eon tend to implode on themselves when killed (they implode, thus explode, damaging units around them)

black hole(active spell, levels at 5/10/15)- creates an area of extreme gravity that lasts for a very long time, deals damage to units in range relative to its middle spot [(units in the black hole itself get alot of damage and are slowed alot, units farther away get minimal damage and nearly no slow) also i was thinking this would last quite a short time but have a 1min cooldown and it would have a pretty slow casttime too and maybe this would hurt allies aswell, maybe the aoe and time active would increase with levels]

slam(active spell, levels at 1/4/7/10/15)-makes air above target area so heavy that it slams down dealing reasonable damage and stunning enemies under the area for a small amount (this would be the main damage skill, but would also have a pretty slow casttime, imagine it working together with black hole)

OK, so the idea itself is kind of good, but i imagine that giving someone the power over or the power of gravity seems kind of overpowered since you'd expect him/her to have instantkill abilities and stuff like that.

This could be a great 2 pallet hero. Make one set AoE's and one set direct damage.

Make the change  tab saying something like "EON does his best to partially leave his human form and control more of the gravity around him. (AoE Pallet. Increased restorative properties due to more exposure to his element, however severly nerphed resistances due to leaving what little defence he has in the boy) and then EON returns into his host, allowing him to channel his power better (direct damage, increased HP and MP due to him drawing power from boy, However slower because the Boy is tiny)

For AoE include a spell that is a slow as he increases gravity in an area suddenly, also do damage (loses effect when they walk out) and a close quarters spell that draws enemies towards him and does damage, and a third one that does no damage but reduces damage as he temporarily removes some/all the weight from his enemies weapons.

dont know about single target spells though

It definitely creates possibilities for interesting mechanics.

Most obviously; draw units/DG's towards you and keep them there for a (very) short time.

Push DG's units away from you (strategicly, futher towards your towers or fortresses).

Be sure to add this to the Demigod Master List.  The more demigods we have on this list the better chance we can get it pinned up on the forums.
