Calling all Mid-Westerners!

This is an open invitation to all galciv players who are looking to join an empire. The Midwest Confederation wants you!

'Manifest Destiny'

You history buff's won't need an explanation but for those unfamiliar with the term. Manifest Destiny was coined in the mid 1800's as Americans pushed further and further West. The idea of Manifest Destiny Doctrine became the torch, that lit the way for American expansion. This philosophy also sailed with Christopher Columbus across the Atlantic. It resided in the spirits of the Jamestown colonist and it landed at Plymouth Rock with the Pilgrims. It also traveled with the fire and brimstone preachers during the Great Awakening and built the first national road. And so it dwells in the Galciv Metaverse for the MWC!

With your help, we will show the Galciv community the true spirit of the midwest, ensuring our 'Manifest Destiny'.

Let me throw my weight behind this empire. I was looking to join an empire only a week ago and had a lowly ranking barely breaking the top 500. On a whim I joined The Mid-Western Confederation and with the tactical hints I recieved from my fellow overlords I've jumped into the top 100 and am climbing steadily. We need you to help us continue to climb in the empire rankings and we can surely help you in return.

Yes welcome Jon50. With your help we will tie GROSS up in the White Robes and toss them to the dogs. ;) Thanks Idle, I am an old geek but not that old. I have played magic (back in the day), I just don't know why he mentioned them.

Are the new updates frustrating you. The MWC has several good comments in our strategy section at our home web page. Join the MWC and learn how to beat the game and enjoy the process.

Ah yes, American imperialism. Join MWC if:
1) You enjoy the idea of subjugating all other humans to your cause
2) There can be no other Empires
3) All other empires deserve to be mocked and beaten down
4) You actually believe everthing you read on CNN.
5) You voted for Mondale or Dukakis and thought Clinton was a rightous dude.

Or, if you want to know how to really play, read the other threads, such as the Gross thread. I am not really avocating GROSS, but please examine what a potential MWC frat would be like.

(Not meaning to inflame the MWC people, they are, well, human and deserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, which, coincidentatly, they tend to deny GROSSers. )
