Demigod can not be played! Cannot read SID

Hi,

 

I need help with Impulse.

I downloaded Demigod via Impulse, installed it and activated it. But an Error appeared: "Error activating the product: Cannot read SID".

I wanted to register it manually under "Register a product with Impulse...", but Demigod was already registrated with serial and e-mail address.

So i wanted to start Demigod, then the activation window opened, i typed in my e-mail address, my registration key, and then it says: "Error activating the product: Cannot read SID"

 

In a Editor file opened in the back, i read:

"Application start: 2009-5-27 8.26.43

Downloading test internet data...

Download: success

Test internet data - success

Cannot read SID

Please ensure the serial number entered is associated with the email you used. Try to activate the product again. If using Impulse you can right-click on the product and re-activate. Include this log file if contacting support."

I do not know what is causing this error, but do you have admin rights?

I tried compatibilty mode, but the error appeares nevertheless.

 

I tried it now with my Windows XP machine, on the error-machine is Vista installed, and under XP it works fine.

if by SID it means the serial number, make sure you put the hyphons in it. That got me when I installed
