Death Match

Only recently started playing the game so not sure if I'm missing this somewhere. Does the game have something akin to a death match? I sometimes feel a little impatient to research all the techs to get to the top of the tech tree.

you could always just play a really small map, you usually dont have the time/planets/resources to get to the top of the tree

but, there could be some sort of extra game modes or a way to set how high your initial research is at in the enxt X-pack

Are you using the mad scientist or the distant star mod, ya it is long, but if you aren't rofl 2 level isn't much. In the distant stars and mad scientist, the number of research levels could reach up to 10

There's a mod out there called the DOME but it's almost never seen online.
