Game crashes

from GalCiv2 Forums

Game used to work fine, I haven't changed a thing and now it crashes EVERY time that I try and play it. I can get through the race selection screens and then when I start the game it crashes before I see the galaxy map. I was going to try and uninstall the game and just try a reinstall, but it will not even let me uninstall it..when I try I get the crash message that galciv2 has stopped working. When I get home today I will try reinstalling from the disc if i can, but any help that you can give me would be appreciated. this is a really good game and I would like to play it!
