mouse pointer transparent, flickering and disappears in game on windows 7

I have had both sins and entrenchment installed on an xp machine and a vista machine with it running with no problems. I now also have a windows 7 RC machine (Q9550, 8GB RAM, Asus Maximus extreme mobo, ATI 4870 x2 running stable at stock clock speeds... for now). I have updated to the most recent ATI driver (they actually have one for windows 7). The mouse pointer in game flickers nd dissappears rendering the game unplayable. Does anyone have any suggestions?

if possible you shoud see if your catalyst software control pannel has an option to allow software to take  controll of your input devices (your mouse and/or joystick) and if so allow it to do so i have an Nvidia 8800gtx and actually ran into the same problem with vista 32bit untill i found that my forceware controll pannnel had the settings for my mouse locked into hardware acceleration at all times which i thought would of been better but as soon as i disabled that option my pointer in sins has been fine
