Minion idol abuse

Hey everyone,

Me and my mate just faced a Sedna who did the minion idol abuse.
What can you do about it? Is this exploit going to be fixed?

This is what happens, You won't see the Sedna for a while.
But then she'll come with a huge army of sieges and priests and her own Yeti's.

From this point on you can forget it. You'll be down within seconds.
And onces your down they'll get the flags and kill your towers within seconds.

No change to kill it.

The player who did the abuse you can find in my replay.
I hope that the people of demigod wil delete this exploit because thats what it is.
There is no way to counter this effect.

Only operators download the replay plz, otherwise mail me for the file.

Yes, they know about and plan on fixing the idol selling exploit in the next patch.

EDIT: Here's the link to that:  http://forums.demigodthegame.com/355935

AoE is the best option. This exploit costs a fairly large amount of gold and if you kill the minions that she no longer has the idol for she won't be able to summon them again. A ranged hero with AoE like TB is the best, although Regulus' angelic fury can also do the trick.

we mostly play erebus - sedna

We were thinking of exploiting ourself if there doing it.

but you'll first need 1k to do it.

Well in that case both of you could send your own minions out to kill/wear down hers. Erebus' nightwalkers hurt like hell and the best part is that they're free.

As JagerJack said, he/she has to pay 3k+ gold to max out his/her minions, if I remember correctly. Kill them while ignoring the DG - it'll hurt very much!

A good hammer slam, mist or anything aoe will make him/her ragequit, lolz. Don't forget, he/she misses out on gear to get this army. After you kill the minions, he/she is yours to toy with.

This strategy has obvious weaknesses.

Once the idols summons die they can't resummon.  So aoe them down!  Each time you kill one, they have effectively lost gold.

There is a cooldown between idol summoning so they have to spend alot of time at the crystal, use this to get a level advantage.

The player is investing all their gold in idols, that means they will have very low hp and armour, you need to exploit this.  Yes they're very powerful in the early levels, but you just have to play defensively, hug your tower!  They won't be able to push if you're there next to it. So if you can avoid dying and limit their pushing power, once you get to levels 5-7, you'll have the damage to focus fire them down, so work with your team to do this and each time they die they will lose thousands of gold and have to spend minutes resummoning.

I've gone up against this a number of times against a variety of generals, we just tried to limit their pushing, and look for ganks.  Once we'd killed the DG once or twice, they'd wasted so much gold and time that we had a definite advantage, and went on to take easy wins.  Just don't try and 1vs1 them early on, it is what they want you to do.

Parasite Egg is an overpriced piece of crap.

It really is. now if it spread 100% of damage to minions.... It might be useful.

Piece of crap - no. But it isn't 100% damage, that I am sure of. Used it in a few battles vs Oak, Sedna, QoT and their minions didn't die as fast as they should if they took the whole damage. I think it is at least 10%, but I can't be sure - most of my attacks were AoE, which caused the minions to have 2 hit splashes at once, making it unclear how much damage they took.

But I don't think its 100%. No way.

No, it's not 100%, which by default makes the item misleading because it mentions nothing about percentage damage.

Yes, parasite egg is an overpriced piece of crap, but it's great against players using the idol exploit.

If it dealt 100% damage to minions then it'd be an overpowered item that makes minions even more useles (at least for Sedna and QoT). ;)
