I'd like to discuss the possibility of adding a new forum for empires. This forum would be used for recruiting new members, communicating with existing members, taunting other empires, etc.
I think the empire concept is cool. I like that there are people that are taking active roles in their empires, and thus in the community as a whole. In short, I think the empire threads are worthwhile.
On the other hand, it also seems to me that they can really clog the boards sometime. Sometimes these discussions get a bit aggravating when there are a bunch going at once, yet I don't think discouraging them is the right thing to do.
I think the potential downside of a new forum is that there might be less traffic in these threads, less visibility for new empires tryign to recruit, etc.
One possibility might be for the suggested forum to cover all metaverse-related topics, but I'm not certain that is a good solution either, since an important topic like the recent scoring issue probably needs to be on the main forum.
I'd like to get some comments from others. Is this a good idea? An awful idea? I'm making an assumption here that adding this would be relatively simple to do. Of course, that assumption could be very wrong, but I thought I'd at least bring up the topic.
