Anyone saw GPG reply to Ideas post?

Anyone saw a GPG staff replying to one of the ideas post we see in this forum?
Saying that: "Its a good idea we look into it" or "This cannot be done".
Or we simply think they look at it and hope that someday something will be changed.
(I don't talk about frogboy because he works for Stardock and doesn't look at gameplay features)

I look at gameplay suggestions.

A lot of the game features in Demigod were a result of collaboration (the flags, pantheon upgrades, many of the items, skill trees, etc.).

GPG doesn't respond to hardly anything directly. Frogboy responds for GPG either by directly hearing GPG's views on certain user suggested features or indirectly by thinking it's a good idea and pushes for GPG to look into. There's almost no reason for GPG to get involved in PR if they have a good publisher like Stardock.

always good to know that Frogboy and Stardock are looking at and replying to idea... however i also would really like to see GPG say something about ideas.  yes i know they look but don't say anything, but feedback would really be nice.  part of making productive ideas and decisions making is finding out what does and doesn't work.

for example i did a map idea a while back that used portals to transport grunts across paths... i have no idea if this is possible so a tiny bit of feedback on the actual logistics of this would be all thats needed for me to rethink the idea so it more plausible.  same goes for all the Demigod ideas... Items... modes... etc

Feedback.... we need feedback!

EDIT (since our posts came at the same time):  agreed... however good PR isn't the same as constructive Idea Building.  if they want free ideas on what the communitee wants out of the game all they need to do if post 2 or 3 replies a week... far less than even the most casusal forum user

Well it's clearly possible to someone who can dig into the code, it's another matter if it'll be a possible option in the eventual map maker. :P Also, the producers don't have to respond to the ideas... and probably don't want to; if there's a good idea people are excited about, they say they're going to add it, but then have to cut it for some reason it's really bad pr.

Sorry Frogboy, I meant "I think you work more on connection than gameplay.". If I'm right it is GPG that will actually DO the gameplay updates and will be able to say if it is possible or not. They will also be able to say what they are working on to imporve the game and what cannot be done etc..... right?

Oh well... all I want to say is that I would like to have post and feedback from the actual people who program the gameplay features.

thanks

It is normal for a company to not say anything in the ideas forum.  Take a look at WoW and their idea's forum.  No blizzard employee ever post there.

It is not because wow doesn't do it that GPG should not do it.

At least a pinned topic that says: "We can'T reply to post but rest assured we read them" or a topic with the official upcoming updates to know on what they are working at so I will stop creating topic with the following title: "Can we please always see our health without hovering our mouse on the hp bar".

Oh well, it is the first time I am that much on forums asking questions and suggestions. I thought we would have more feedback on our suggestions or more precise info on upcoming patch. Perhaps I ask for too much.

I'll shut up and I'm sure GPG have nice patch coming to us.

cool cool and thx.

i think if SD started giving techical feedback to ideas rathan than opinionated ones i would be just as happy.  don't get me wrong... its always awesome to hear a SD employee like you idea but i think its way more constructive for them to comment on the actual coding and possibility of the idea.

that said Frogboy mentioned Modding in the June FAQ... so even feedback on how ideas might be done would be nice.

(for example... with maps.... would mod'ing a map mean building it in 3Ds Max and then using some program to add structures? or would there be a simgle program to build it all?  same goes for UI Mods? are we looking at a direct file edit or something overlaying the pressent UI?)

thats the kind of feedback we need. from SD or GPG...
