Please Create A Tell System In Game

Forgive me if this is posted before but this is really a number one thing for allowing me to play with friends.  The in game chat box and double clicking to send them a tell is terrible, not reliable, and never gets us connected.  We end up having to use our phones and text messages just to say something simple like join channel whatever when your game is over.  A simple ability to send a message to friends while in game to say "how long you have left" or "join channel blank when done" would be huge in helping us to play more games together and thus have more fun.  The social networking of this game has really limited making friends but even the friends I know in real life its hard to play a game with.
